§ I · The market

What New York looks like for MVA right now.

New York is a no-fault state with a serious-injury threshold, which is the single most important fact about its MVA economics. Below that threshold, the case stays in the PIP / first-party economy and never reaches a third-party recovery. Above it, settlement values run materially higher than most other states.

Net effect on lead supply: NY has fewer cases per capita than CA or TX, but the ones that qualify produce stronger case fees. Exclusive CPL is moderately elevated as a result ($350 is in the upper-middle band nationally) but cost-per-signed- case ($2,600) sits below the national auto-MVA average.

  • NYC metro drives roughly 78% of statewide MVA volume.
  • Long Island (Nassau / Suffolk) is the second-densest pocket.
  • Buffalo, Rochester, Albany are smaller markets with cheaper CPL ($390–$430) but lower monthly volume ceilings.
§ II · Supply status

Open. Limited.

We currently have 2 of a maximum 3 exclusive seats open in New York at the moment of writing. State-specific exclusivity means each seat receives 100% of the qualified MVA inquiries we generate for that buyer's defined filters — no overlap with the other seats, no shared resale.

Once the third seat closes, NY moves to a waitlist until a current buyer pauses or releases volume. We typically see one seat turn over per quarter.

§ III · Economics

$350 in, $2,600 out — by budget tier.

Run the same unit economics at four budget tiers. Sign rate held constant at the New York observed average. Case fees and ROI not shown — those depend on your firm's case mix and settlement velocity.

Highlighted row is the most common starting point for boutique NY firms.

§ IV · Case mix

What the leads actually look like.

Twelve-week rolling average for our New York exclusive supply:

  • 62% — standard auto, passenger vehicle
  • 14% — commercial / livery / for-hire vehicle
  • 9% — motorcycle
  • 8% — pedestrian / cyclist
  • 4% — truck (under 26,000 lb GVWR)
  • 3% — rideshare (Uber / Lyft passenger or driver)

Each lead arrives with TCPA-compliant consent, an accident date inside the last 14 days, and a self-reported injury that required medical attention. Filters available to tighten further: minimum accident severity, hospitalization required, no-prior-attorney, ZIP-level inclusion or exclusion.

§ V · Delivery

How a New York lead reaches your firm.

Each MVA lead is routed to your firm within five minutes of consent capture. Standard delivery options:

  • Webhook → Litify, Filevine, CASEpeer, Lawmatics, Clio, MyCase, or a custom intake stack.
  • Warm phone transfer → your intake line during business hours. Recommended for the first 30 days while you read the funnel.
  • SMS-first flow → for firms running text-based qualification before the intake call.

We provide a weekly cost-per-signed-case report by lead source, case type, and ZIP grouping so you can tighten filters as the first three months produce signal.

§ VI · Next

If New York is your market, the next step is a 30-minute call.

We'll confirm the seat status, walk through your firm's existing intake flow, agree filters, and lock the CPL in writing. No retainer, no validation trial, no enterprise minimum — month-to- month from day one.

Methodology & caveats

  1. CPL of $350 reflects the May 2026 weighted-average exclusive cost for New York MVA leads sold through our supply, English-language, passenger-vehicle case filters applied. Truck and wrongful-death verticals price separately.
  2. Cost-per-signed-case of $2,600 reflects the 90-day rolling average for active NY exclusive buyers in our supply. Your firm's actual signed-case rate will move this number ±35% depending on intake speed, contact-rate discipline, and case- type filter selection.
  3. "Sign rate" is computed as signed retainers ÷ leads delivered (not ÷ leads contacted). Industry data sometimes uses contacted-only denominators, which inflates rates by 1.4–1.6×.
  4. Seat counts, case-mix percentages, and ZIP-density figures are updated on the first business day of each month and reflect the prior 12-week rolling window.
  5. This is a sample report. The version you receive after requesting one is identical in structure but reflects your named state, your asked filters, and the live seat count at that moment.
